Dominican Republic, USA, Colombia, and Mexico Secure Wins in Pan American Men’s Volleyball Cup
In an impressive XVII Pan American Men’s Volleyball Cup showdown, the Dominican Republic triumphed over Peru with a 3-1 victory (25-16, 28-30, 25-18, 25-17). Key players for the Dominican Republic included Héctor Cruz, who scored 17 points, and Wilfrido Hernández, who added 12 points. On the Peruvian side, Maikel Jaramillo led with 17 points.
The United States secured a 3-1 victory against Puerto Rico (25-21, 25-18, 29-31, 25-18). Gabriel García shone for the USA with 19 points, while Jamal Carballo led Puerto Rico, also scoring 19 points.
Colombia dominated Guatemala with a 3-0 victory (25-16, 25-16, 25-16). Leandro Mejía scored 12 points for Colombia, while Carlos López gave Guatemala 12 points.
In a five-set thriller, Mexico edged out Chile 3-2 (25-22, 25-23, 19-25, 15-25, 15-13). Franky Milantoni led Mexico with 24 points, while Vicente Parraguirre and Dusan Bonacic each scored 20 points for Chile.
